EuropeSince 2002 we having been living and working missionally in Europe. Our main areas of focus have been developing national pastors and leaders, helping to plant a local church and mentoring a new missionary couple for the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.

We first moved to Europe to work with Next Level International, an organization with a vision to "empower a whole new generation of radical leaders to equip, transform and expand the church in Europe." Our roles were to help coordinate and lead national training events for pastors and leaders in many nations across Europe including Bulgarai, Czech Republic, Estonia, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain and Ukraine. In total we have seen hundreds of leaders, both experienced and emerging, go through the NLI training programs. By training national leaders and pastors we are ensuring maximum potential for influence and reproduction as they are the ones who understand the needs of their culture and cities. By strengthing the local and national church in this way we believe that nations can be changed for the Kingdom.

Currently Sheldon is working with NLI to develop new training programs, write a foundational leadership course called the DNA Course and help bring strategic and innovative thinking and actions to NLI's missional goal. In 2009 we will be working in different nations of Europe as well as helping to develop training ideas for Emerging Leaders, Church Planters, Women Leader, Youth Leaders and Primary pastors and leaders.

In 2007 we moved to Nitra, Slovakia, a beautiful but needy city. There are over 90 000 people in the city and yet there is only one evangelical church. This church is called Mozaika (Mosaic) and is a church plant in partnership with NLI and the Apostolic Churches of Slovakia. It is headed up by Miro and Marta Toth, a national church planting couple and our friends. We have moved to Nitra to assist them in leading and serving at the church plant. It has been an exciting but difficult journey as we face much resistance in the city. However we are now 50 people strong and both of us serve in different capacities of leadership and ministry.

We also serve with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada as full-time missionaries to the Eurasia District. As part of that role we are mentors in the Missionary Apprenticeship Program. We have Matthew and Amber Price working with us since 2008. They are a young, dynamica and highly gifted couple who are preparing for a lifetime in missions. They are with us until 2010, sharing life, learning about missions and leadership and discovering more about what God's plans are for them. This is a great way to invest in the future of global missions. Sheldon also serves on the Eurasia Reigion's lead team. This is a team that provides accountability, strategy and care to the different PAOC missionaries in the Eurasia Region.
